I am a 18 year old Korean adoptee. It is my goal to learn my birth language. I am willing to devote all the time necessary to reach my goal of speaking Korean. I one day want to visit Seoul, So. Korea the city in which I was born. My adopted parents are very supportive of my dreams to learn Korean. I have spent time immersing myself in the Korean culture. My proficiency level in Mandarin would be classified as beginner. I have taken 3 years in high school (I'm now 24), but much of my knowledge has been forgotten. I want to learn Mandarin because my grandmother only speaks Mandarin, and I am of Chinese descent. I feel as though not knowing Chinese has stunted my experience in connecting with my roots. Also, in my future career as a physician, I would like to be able to communicate with chinese patients in their native language.
The areas in which I need improvement would be vocabulary, conversation, and a little bit of grammar. I would like to start the lessons twice a week, within the next week, for at least a few months.
On e of the most important features I am looking for in a teacher would probably be flexibility in schedule, as my own schedule will be scattered after May, 2009.

I am seeking to learn Haitian Creole. English is my native language however I have taken 2 years of German and 4 years of French. My last French class was in April '07.
I am an adult learner and want to learn this to benefit a charitable group which operates a hospital in Haiti. I have worked with this group for 9 months now and see this as an area that would be of immense value. Given my propensity for language, the seriousness of my study as well as my knowledge of the french language I believe I would be an excellent student.
I am seeking more conversationa l use rather than written although I would like some written practice. I am currently taking no other coursework and so have probably 4 - 5 hours per week that I can devote to this.
I would prefer a teacher from Haiti so my accent will be minimal. I am also interested in learning culture and current events in Haiti.

I am a beginner in esperanto and I would like to learn this language to open new converstaion with people i might not have met as just an english speaker. I need to establish a solid foundation to improve upon at more steady pace. I would like to spend once or twice a week speaking the language to others speakers. I would like someone who has a more liner style of teaching so that I can keep track of my progress. I am also open to a more free flowing learning style as well.
