Hi I am a beginner wanting to learn Mandarin, as my wifes family has Chinese Heritage, and I would wish to be able to converse in an everyday situation.
B asic Mandarin is all i am after, being able to understand and reply comfortably, is what i hope to attain through the course.
My time schedule is flexible, what i am sure of is that whatever time i have will be used efficiently, in saying that i will put aside time throughout the day/week to ensure work is completed.

My father has just married a Czech woman and they will be living in the Czech republic. I am planning to visit them late in 2006, and though Marika speaks english, I would like to be able to communicate with her in her own language. I am interested in developing a basic conversationa l ability from a beginners level.
I will leave it to any perspective teacher to advise me on how much time I will need to spend on lessons/pract ice.

Hi,
My name is Stacey and I am 22 years old. I have been to Thailand twice and I am very interested in learning the language both for pleasure and for career advancement.
I would require to start as a beginner and then would like to advance over time and as I develop the language skills.
I am located in Brisbane and would be willing to put in a couple of lessons a week depending on what was available and how much time was required.
I am a keen learner who is passionate about Thailand and willing to begin as soon as possible.

The languages I have put down are not ones that I am currently learning but ones that I would like to learn. I am unable to study all the languages I want to through university so I need to find language teachers.
I am a beginner in all the languages listed above (though I may know a word or two!) and am intersted in learning spoken and written language with emphasis on grammar to gain a better functional understanding and use of the language. I would be available about once a week, and am looking for affordable lessons (that is, less than $40 a lesson).
And I'd of course like a teacher who's friendly and approachable, and wouldn't make me cry :).
