i am a fresh starter. i havent gotten any books yet. my overall reason learn this language is so that i can become proficient in the arabic language. i plan on working for the government in a field involving terrorism and i feel that if i have a good knowledge of this language then i will have a better chance at excelling in my career choice. i have a few years to learn before that point comes i just thought that the sooner the better.

I am a beginner in the arabic language. I know some of it, like conversationa l arabic. I married an arab and I want to be able to communicate with him in English and Arabic. I also would like to become an interpreter for the US. I need improvement in all areas. I also would love to learn to write in arabic. I would dedicate all of my available time to learning arabic. I would like to have a teacher that is proficient in arabic as well as english so they can teach me the exact meaning that way i wont get confused....= )

Beginner arabic learner looking to become proficient in German over the next two years. I have already lived in Germany and became fluent within 6 mos. I am currently interested in learning Hindi and Mandarin Chinese for educational/t ravel purposes. I have no experience with either/or. I would like to learn conversationa l and grammatical Chinese/Hindi . I would like to dedicate two days for an hour and a half into the study of either/or langauage.
T he qualities I seek for a tutor are patience and the ability to present and describe concepts, ideas in a percise and understandabl e manner. Some of my major frustrations with teachers/tuto rs deal with the inability to present their lessons in a clear manner. It is highly important that tutors possess this skill.
