I started learning HIndi three years ago when I began working on my PhD. Then, the research became the priority and did not have enough time for Hindi. My level is still a beginner, but I know the alphabet and can write. My conversationa l level is very poor now, well taking into account a long break. I should be able to pick things up easily as I did cover quite a lot in the past.
My aim is to be able to speak Hindi proficiently. Have already been in India twice and am planning to go again for work. In terms of time commitment, it would be good to have two hours of classes and two-three hours of homework a week.
My background is in Linguistics. It would be nice to have a teacher who can explain things well (structure and grammar, nuances of the language).

I am a regular traveler to Thailand and have seen much of the country.
I am at beginner level and would like to learn conversation Thai so I may converse and be understood when I am in Thailand.
Most Thais I have met have a little understanding of English and have been very helpful when they knew I was trying to learn.
I have completed a TEFL course in Phuket where I was taught a little Thai but most I have learned from asking the Thai people I have met.
I am happy to put in 2 hours practical time per week to correct my pronunciation and 1-2 hours per day study time.
My teacher only needs to teach me conversation Thai and perhaps a little of the Thai culture that I may not already know.

Hello,
Myself , husband and 10 yr old daughter need to learn basic Thai language starting immediately as I am adopting a little girl from Thailand and we need and want to communicate with her immediately in her own language.
We are beginners and are looking for customized lessons in our own home preferrably as a group. ARound 2 hrs a week.
We are looking for an experienced teacher who speaks native Thai language with teaching skills to teach adults and children.

Always wanted to learn Portuguese... Lived in Lisbon for a few months last year and am travelling to Brazil mid year. I love everything about portugal and the language and culture, and it would benefit me if I were able to communicate efficiently with the locals. I am a beginner, and will be willing to dedictae 2-3 nights a week or a day on the weekend to learn.
