Hi,
My name is Jillian Curley. I am at a very beginners level of Danish. My boyfriend of five years is Danish and I am hoping to move there when I graduate next year. However, I need to become fluent in the language before I could get a job there. Not only that, but it is very important to me to learn the language out of respect and love I have for my boyfriend, his family, and my friends there. I think it has been hard for me to learn Danish so far because everyone is so quick to speak English to me when I am in Denmark.
I have some vocabulary, and I actually understand quite a bit of spoken Danish. I struggle in speaking Danish. The 'r' is very hard for me as well as the 'oe' (the funky o as I call it - the computer doesn't have the character). For instance the words Red and Bread (Roed, Broed) are nearly impossible for me to say correctly!
I am willing to dedicate as much time as I can to learn the language. I work at an internship all day long but my weeknights are free and so are my weekends for the most part if I'm not traveling to Denmark!
I 'm looking for a teacher that is disciplined and excited about sharing the language with me.

I have absolutely no Danish. I'm living in Galway but am looking to move with my girlfriend (Danish citizen) to Denmark next year. I'm working 9 to 6ish 5 days a week so will be looking to fit the lessons around that.

Hi there, My name is melanie. My boyfriend is Danish. I wish to move to Denmark next year. I would like to be able to speak the language and write it too. i went to classes before in dublin, beginner classes but they stopped. I was able to write it and have very basic conversation. I wish to start again. My boyfriend is living in denmark, aalborg, bronderslev so for my relationship and for my benifit to get a job over there etc, it is vital that I learn danish.
