I want to learn Hebrew because I enjoy learning new languages and especially because I live here the next year to volunteer. I am a beginner and would like to learn the basics, to be able to have conversations and to understand what the people around me are telling me.
I work in shifts, so I don't know how much time I can invest in the lessons, but it would be nice if I could take some not regularly but whenever there is time.
As I already mentioned, my focus is on talking and understanding for the beginning.

I will be staying in Zichron Yaakov from July 19 - 28th and am looking for a Hebrew tutor to work informally with me and my family (my wife, and our 4-year old son-- we also have a 1 year old but she's not going to be doing much Hebrew speaking!). My wife and I both studied in ulpanim over 10 years ago and we want to refresh our knowledge of conversationa l Hebrew. We are hoping to work with a tutor for about 5 sessions during that time for 1-2 hours at a time, and we are willing to drive 30 minutes or so if necessary. We would like the studying to be interactive, informal, and if possible, done in the context of other activities ( going to the park, the market, etc.)
