I am a New Zealander and I want to learn Afrikaans for future career posibilities in Africa. I know one or two words so I am obviously a beginner. Primarily, I would like to learn conversationa l Afrikaans because being able to speak the language is more important at the moment than being able to write it. I can dedicate as much time as I need to learning the language, and at least one day a week. I would prefer a teacher whos native language is Afrikaans so that I can pick up on natural accent and I learn best in person, although the lessons do not have to be one on one.

This tutor would be required to teach a 7 year old basic conversationa l Afrikaans. His parents are South African, his mother tongue is English and his father's family is Afrikaans speaking. I am happy to bring him to a tutor, if necessary
