I have studied Spanish for about a year now and consider myself to be a beginner. I am learning Spanish because I love learning and I am interested in Spain and Latin America. My reading skills far exceed my conversationa l skills. I am making steady progress with the acquisition of vocabulary and grammar, but I still have a long way to go. I study each day for about an hour and I can devote several hours a week to lessons. I prefer a teacher who is well prepared and who provides lots of structure.

I am currently studying third-year Japanese at the University of Oregon. I would like to complement my studies with a one-on-one tutor. My goal is to become fluent in Japanese, conversationa lly and literately. Therefore, I would like to work on all areas of the language. I am a beginner and have only been exposed around my in-laws. My husband's parents are from Nederlands. We would both like to learn and in the future, have our children attend weekly classes to become proficient in speaking Dutch.
Any one out there who speaks Dutch that would be willing? My in-laws live in CA and will only be able to speak Dutch around out future children hear and there, we would like to find someone who can give an experience of the language more often.
