I'd like to continue learning italian, because I love the language, the country, the food, the lifestyle, the people.
I used italian at my former work place in Germany as well as during my holidays. I've been learning italian for approx. 5 years and I went to summer school twice for each 3 years to Tropea/Italy.
I consider my level as advanced.
I need improvement in the vocabulary/ grammar/conve rsation.
I would like to have 2 hours per week.
I'm looking for a native speaking person.

My reason for wanting to learn Russian is I have traveled to Ukraine and Moldova eight times and always needed a translator. I would like to go there again and not need a translator or use one during a limited amount of time.
I know a few words of Russian. However, I am not 100% certain my pronunciation is correct. I am a beginner. I cannot read or write any Russian and cannot carry on a conversation. I need help from a beginner's level. I have never taken a language lesson in the past. The only language I know is English.
I should be able to take one hour of lessons once every two weeks during the first couple of months and then study between lessons. After that, I would like to take one lesson each week, if time allows. I do not lack motivation, but free time is sometimes very tight.
I understand Russian is a difficult language to learn, so I would like my teacher to be patient and polite, as I am, while at the same time be able to explain things in a manner I will be able to understand and comprehend. I would prefer a woman teacher.

I studied Danish for about 4 months in college. I have a good grasp of pronunciation , but it needs a lot of work.
I'm interested in the history of Scandinavia, and Scandinavian mythology. Scandinavian linguistics and language evolution are my main academic interests in learning the language.
I chose Danish specifically because I loved how it sounded the first time I heard it. Denmark also has a close connection with Iceland and the Faeroes, which is another part of why I chose Danish.
I will begin studying on my own for about a half hour a day. As far as lessons, I like them to be topical. Maybe one day a dialogue about eating in a restaurant, the next a mock job interview. I'd also like to have conversations about articles online.
I' m open to suggestion on ways to learn. I just need to get it underway.

I have studied Standard Arabic for four semesters at my University in the U.S. I began studying Arabic after I lived in Bethlehem for a summer.
I have a beginners vocabulary and I understand many of the rules of Arabic grammer. My weakest areas are listening and speaking.
I am staying in Oman until Aug. 19 and would like to spend around 3 or 4 hours a week working with a tutor on lessons.
A good tutor for me would be someone who has their own ideas for lessons. I find it hard to know what I should study.
