I am a Professor of Mass Communication teaching Film and Video Production, and Media Technology in a well known university and am settled in Greenville, South Carolina. I am also a TV/Film Producer and a Computer Systems Engineer. I speak English, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil and Telugu. I know a smattering of Spanish, German, Kannada and Malayalam as well. On a scale of 1-10 I am a 2.
I go to Honduras every year for nursing with BMDMI. I would rather communicate one-on-one instead of through an interpreter. Working for home health in a rural area has given me ample opportunity to use spanish. I can usually get my point across; however 'no intiendo.'
My plan is to dedicate at least five hours a week. I would like to be proficient by next summer.
I work better with accountabilit y.
Cost is an issue. So I cannot make a decision until I know what financial commitment will be required.

I am a full time graduate student looking for a spanish tutor who is available for private lessons. I have several semesters of formal spanish classes and have spent some time in Mexico, however it has been quite a while since I have utilized the spanish language for any purpose. I am planning to travel to Mexico again this summer and I would like to eventually become fully billingual - so I need a tutor who can review with me as well as improve my ability to communicate - both written and verbal. I am a quick learner who likes to incorporate humor in most everything I do - so I would love to find a tutor with a fun teaching style who can help me reach my billingual goal! I am interested in devoting 1 to 2 hours weekly with a tutor - and I have no problem with traveling to meet with someone since I live outside of Dallas.
