Hello,
I am the parent and a five year old student who is beginning school. I am seeking a teacher/tutor to work with my child and teach him spanish. My reasons for doing so are so that he becomes a well rounded student and learns to communicate with people from other parts of the world. I chose spanish because the spanish-speak ing population in the U.S. is increasing and I would like to prepare him for the future. I realize that this is a pretty diffioult task to undertake. I am looking for someone who has taught children before and who already has a successful plan of how to approach this. I was assuming that 2, 1 hour long sessions per week may be good. I am not experienced at this so my assumption may be wrong. I am looking for guidance from an experienced professional as to if this is even a good idea. I have no idea what the typical cost would be so if someone could tell me that would help.

Have always had desire to learn italian. My grandmother and mother spoke it to each other. I will be leaving for trip to italy on november 1, 2011.

I'm really interested in working with someone on my Chinese. I took classes in college, and I've done some work since then, but I need a lot of help. In particular, my speaking skills aren't very good. I guess I would describe myself as an advanced beginner.
I'm hoping to find someone to meet with once or twice a week. I'm fairly flexible with times in the evenings and on Saturdays.

I am learning Japanesse because I am enriched and fasinated with the culture ad history behind Japan. I have used Rosetta Stone for about 3 mounths and it's not the kind of hands on learning that I would prefer. I feel i need improvment on just the basics of the language. I am willing to deticated any and all the time I have to offer to learning this language. The qualities im looking for in a teacher are someone who is patient and will take the time to explain what I dont understand to me, cleart and in a way that I'm able to understand it.

My name is Rebecca, I'm a high school student planning to learn a foreign tongue for my mandatory two year high school language credit. I'm learning not only out of necessity, but because I'd very much like to travel abroad at some point in my life, so I'd like to become as fluent as I can in speaking, writing, and reading each language. I'm looking for a long term teaching commitment.
I'm very much a beginner, as out of all of the languages listed, I've never had a class in any of them. I've got to start at the very beginning.
I would like to dedicate maybe an hour a week to learning, but that's negotiable as I have a fair amount of time free during the day due to large gaps between classes. I'm pretty much available any time after two pm, weekdays.
I would like a teacher that is flexible when it comes to teaching, as well as patient and responsive. Other than that, I'm not very picky.
