I have been living in Shanghai for the last 4 years and have reached a basic day to day conversationa l level in Mandarin and Shanghai but there are many gaps in my knowledge and want to get some formal tutoring. I now live back in Wales with a view to returning to China and want to improve my Chinese language skills.I do not necessary want to read and write Chinese though that would be helpful but I am most interested in learning more vocabulary and getting the tones / pronunciation right.

I am a beginner in learning the Finnish language. I have bought some books and have already learned a few basics, such as pronunciation , basic words and phrases and a little grammar. I am learning Finnish as I may be moving there with my partner, who is Finnish, in the next year or so. I would like to have a good command of the language before I move and would seriously consider one to one lessons, as there is only so much you can learn alone from books. I would be looking to spend maybe one or two evenings a week, depending on the cost, as I am still a poor student. But I love languages and would commit time and effort to my studies and I am very serious about learning.

I have just married a lady from Russia, and she has an 18 year old son she knows little English and her son not much more and needs to understand the language so he can enter the university, they both are in bad need of learning the English language. They have went to the English as a second language from the local college but the teacher does not speak Russian and they are unable to learn anything from the class. My wife is a university graduate,in Belarus. They have only been in this country for 6 weeks and in need of a teacher who speaks Russian. I would have had my wife write this but I do not have Russian on my computer, she knows our alphabet and can read several words but doesn't know the meaning.
