Hello my name is Aaron Randall. I plan on attending Florida State University to pursue a degree in East Asian Studies with the language focus being Japanese. I am a beginner. I would love to learn to speak, read and write Japanese. I plan on participating in a study abroad program in Japan after acceptance into the University. How are you all out there who are reading this. My name is Louis, I want to learn Japanese, maybe not enough to speak it fluently but I'd like to understand it. I am a beginner, and I don't know anything really, I tried Rosetta stone but it doesn't work for me.
I want to dedicate one hour a week for language lessons.

I took 3 years of Japanese in high school. I have forgotten a lot but I still have all my notes and am currently relearning. I am familiar with sentence structure and can read hiragana. I am looking for help relearning and to learn more. I am eager to improve my skills in speaking Japanese. I would have to say that I am still very much a beginner.
I am trying to learn Japanese because I want to go to Japan within the next 5 or 6 years and I want to be able to communicate well with the people there. I am also wanting to learn for job-related purposes. I also love the language and culture of Japan.
I get 2 days off a week from work and I am more then willing to study whenever else I can.
As far as what I'm looking for in a teacher. I am looking for someone who can speak the language well and can help with everything from vocabulary and grammar to how to speak a regular conversation.

I am a beginner in Japanese and study ocassionally on my leisure time. I first began getting interested in the language in my freshman year of high school after a friend introduced me to the music. I want to learn Japanese because I'd like to be able to communicate better with others.
Recently, we had a group of Japanese exchange students in our school, I would have liked to have spoken to them more without being so limited to what little I knew. As for what areas need improvement, pretty much all of them.
I'm willing to dedicate as much time as possible to learning language. I only work on the weekends so it leaves me alot of free time during the week to study and practice.
I want a teacher who is fun and easy going, also a large amount of patience is ideal too because I know I'll be making mistakes and asking tons of questions.
