I am a complete beginner to the Chinese Language. I am hoping to secure a transfer to Hong Kong in May of 2008, and learning Chinese would be a 100% guarantee of that job.
I am willing to dedicated up to 10 hours a week on lessons, however my schedule is rather hectic, and a tutor would need to accommodate.

Spanish- I have been taking spanish for 3 years through my high school but haven't improved much over the past year. I am learning the language out of interest and because I would like to become fluent. I really think I could improve in all areas but particularly speaking is where I have the most trouble. I would like to dedicate a few hours a week at minimum to learning it. I am looking for a teacher with fresh and different approaches, not just a simple regurgitation learning style.
Polish- I have no past experience with the Polish language. my father was born and raised in Poland and his faimly still lives there. I have visited numerous times and have always wished to communicate better with my family who lives there. I would like to spend a few hours a week at minimum learning the language. I am looking for a good teacher who is willing to teach me everything from the very begining.
Arabic- I would like to learn this language out of interest and I have had no past experience with it whatsoever. I would like to at least learn some of the basics because of a program I will be a applying for in a year to go to Egypt for 6 weeks. I figured I should know some of the language at least. I am particularly intersted in getting down the writing and speaking and would dedicate anywhere from 4-6 hours a week to learn it.

I had two years of Spanish in high school and I was an 'A' student during that time. I also had one year of college spanish where I also performed similarly. However, this was 12 years ago, and while I remember some of the vocabularly that I learned, I have lost quite a bit, especially in the grammer department. I visited Colombia recently and would like to have close to two months of private tutoring (1 hour/day) in the meantime before I return there. I would like to specifically improve my conversationa l spanish. I am looking for a patient instructor who at the same time is willing to push me. I want to learn Japanese because I will be to Okinawa in a few months. I lived in Mainland Japan for two years and have a small vocabulary and a small understanding of the languauge structure and a good understanding of the culture. I didn't really have enough time to learn the language when I was there the first time because of a hectic schedule and I would like to get a good head start before returning to Japan. I can dedicate 5 hours a week for study and about 2 hours a week for actual lesson with a tutor. I would prefer to be taught by a person of Japanese/Okin awan origins and someone familiar with the culture of Okinawa.
