Hi, my name is Ben Jones and I am an English teacher in Harbin. I need a proper Chinese teacher to help me continue to learn my Chinese Mandarin. I am learning words on my own regularly, but still need a teacher to help me maintain a good level of grammar/sente nce structure etc. Have had 'proper' lessons for 6 weeks now, but even before then I had learnt enough conversation to communicate with taxi drivers, shop assistants for example. I still want to improve though and I need a teacher from this website to continue to help me, as my previous teacher is leaving Harbin.
I would like one lesson a week, for about an hour, and I need to improve my listening, conversation and grammar.I can learn words on my own I think. I am planning on staying in China for a few more years and want to speak the language to a good level. I want a teacher to teach me at my home/school, it is not difficult to find. I hope to hear back from the teachers soon.

I have always wanted to learn a foreign language because I think it will be very interesting. I am hoping that it can prove to be beneficial someday soon (though not necessarily in my current job). I am definitely a beginner in Chinese. I also quite busy with work, but I can have my tutorials anytime Friday and Saturday, or maybe even after work from Mondays-Thurs day, depending on the workload. I dont have any particular expectations or desired qualities in my teacher except maybe that we can work out a good and effective relationship.
