My name is Colin Bateman and I am interested in learning Spanish as a 2nd Language. My knowledge of the language starts at about 0 - I know 'habla espagnol?' and that's about it. I'm looking for a teacher with a good holistic approach - not just a focus on grammar, conversation etc., but someone who can provide a good introduction to the language.
Three hours a week is what I'm looking for in a language instructor - potentially more as time goes on. I would preferably like an instructor from one of the 20 countries where Spanish is the primary language, but that would just be a bonus.

I am involved in the apparel retailing business. I would like to learn to speak Spanish pretty well to better communicate with my vendors. I would like to learn to at least understand and speak a little Cantonese or Mandarin to better communicate with my vendors. I think that all 3 languages would benefit me in my career. I took French in high school & college and picked it up pretty easily and I think that a transition to Spanish would not be terribly difficult. I DO think that learning either Cantonese or Mandarin will be VERY DIFFICULT but I am not looking for fluency just conversationa l.

I am 27 years old and I have always wanted to learn Spanish. I started beginner Spanish a year ago, but had to withdraw due to relocating to Florida. I need to be taught in a small group or one on one. The previous class was a class of fifty, which made it very difficult. Depending on expenses I would like to meet several times a week if possible.
