Hej,
We are Australians and my husband and children (boy 13 and girl 15) are coming to Uppsala from 2 April 2013 until 3 May 2013, with the sole purpose of improving their Swedish language skills. I will join them for the last two weeks of this visit, and will also require tutoring.
Our primary requirement is for somebody to tutor the family for 3 - 4 hours per day. Our tutor would also have the option to join our family for the remainder of the day/weekend as we explore Uppsala and other parts of Sweden. For example we are planning a snow weekend in Funäsfjällen, and while we wouldn't expect to pay by the hour if our tutor wished to join us, we would pay for a separate room for the tutor, and would pay for all meals, entertainment and expenses (including travel expenses) while undertaking activities with the family.
Th e 13 year old (Scott) has just completed På Svenska 1, and the 15 year old (Kristy) and my husband (Karl) can hold basic conversations in Swedish. My level is somewhere between the two children.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with a sense of humour, who will enjoy helping with the studies, and will be easy going and flexible and ready to have a good time with us as we explore everything from local supermarkets to the sights around Uppsala.

Looking to visit China soon on business (Agriculture, exporting Angus beef breeding cattle), I am also very interested in China's development as a global superpower, it's history and culture, having read several background books on the country and it's people.
So I wish to learn the language for use in business relationships in China. Also being mature age learning this language should help maintain and stimulate my cognitive skills.
I am a beginner, looking to do at least one lesson 1-2 hours a week and prepared to travel to meet the teacher one on one or in class. I have trialled online and found reception on video link unsatisfactor y.
I am hoping to find a teacher who is native Chinese, patient and able to lead me through lot's of practice.
