I had two years of Spanish in high school and I was an 'A' student during that time. I also had one year of college spanish where I also performed similarly. However, this was 12 years ago, and while I remember some of the vocabularly that I learned, I have lost quite a bit, especially in the grammer department. I visited Colombia recently and would like to have close to two months of private tutoring (1 hour/day) in the meantime before I return there. I would like to specifically improve my conversationa l spanish. I am looking for a patient instructor who at the same time is willing to push me. Hello, I am learning to speak Spanish because of a personal desire to learn the language. I would consider myself to be intermediate. I would like to speak fluently. I seem to have the most difficulty when people are speaking to me in Spanish. I try to translate the conversation into English which I realize, defeats the purpose of learning Spanish.
I would like to spend a couple of days a week, perhaps 2 hours each time, learning Spanish. Please advise of your teaching experience and what dates and times you would be available. Also, please let me know what area of Charlotte you are residing. I am on the southwest side of the city.
