I have been travelling around Asia and Australia for the last 9 months. I met my boyfriend in Thailand last December and have just come back to Thailand from Australia to spend some time with him.
Hi English is great but my Thai, however, is not! I know just the very basics and find it hard when we go out with his family as I can't keep up with the conversation and feel left out.
I'm returning to Australia next month for approx 3 months and would really like to learn as much Thai as I can before I return to Thailand. The plan is to move there permenantly at the end of the year so i want to be able to hold a conversation etc and be able to read some Thai if possible.
I am a complete beginner - I can say a few basic phrases but thats it so am looking to learn conversation skills, grammar - pretty much everything. I'd like to spend at least 2 hours a week learning either in a classroom or one on one and will be able to practic my Thai with my boyfriend over the phone.
Fingers crossed I can achieve my goal!
