I would like to learn Ukrainian. I am at a beginner level. My mother and grandmother both speak the language so I have been around it all my life. Unfortunately , no one ever taught me to speak it. I want to be able to have conversations with my mom. Since my grandmother passed away, she does not get to speak Ukrainian very often. I would dedicate at least 2 hours per week to start. I am looking for someone whose native language in Ukrainian.

I am a beginner in the Polish language.
I want to learn Polish for a number of reasons, but the most obvious ones are of course:
Comm unication with friends / customers / new people.
I live in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY, which borders Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Greenpoint is an area of Brooklyn heavily populated by Polish and Polish speaking persons, if I could learn Polish, I could also meet new people and possibly be eligible for new jobs!
I am willing to dedicate up to 5 hours a week for instruction granted they do not interfere with schoolwork and my job.
I am looking for a teacher who is understanding and lenient. I have many Polish friends who speak it fluently, however, it is a difficult, complicated, and frustrated language to learn [and TEACH!] so I am in need of professional assistance.

I wish to learn tagalog so I can speak with my girlfriend in her language better and get to know her more. I am planning on going to the Philippines in January 2009. Specifically, I am going to Taguig City.
I only know of a couple phrases in tagalog, So I am a beginner.
I work at nights, so my day is open right now. I am also free all weekends. I am in the central Time Zone.
I am looking for a teacher who is knowledgeable and willing to work as hard as I do. I am random on what I understand. Sometimes I know it right away and other times it takes me awhile. From my experience with another language class, I know that I am better at writing then I am at speaking.
