I believe I am an intermediate Mandarin Chinese speaker/liste ner. I am still a beginner as far as reading goes.
I want to improve my language skills so I can work overseas as an engineer. I feel I need more practice in conversationa l chinese and advanced vocabulary.
I am willing to dedicate 4-6 hours per week, starting in January 2006, to improving my language skills.
I would like a teacher who is familiar with Chinese culture, is willing to engage in one-on-one conversation, and also is willing to discuss Chinese customs and living in mainland China or Taiwan

hello,
My name is Pamela Bolton.
I am interested in learning mandarin due to the fact that I will be going into import/export and feel that it would be a great advantage.I lived in Taiwan for about two and a half years and grew to enjoy the langauge.I have a very limited vocabulary base and am sure my pronounciatio n is not quite right.I am pregnant at the moment and am due to give birth on the 5th of January.Due to this I require home tutoring,for I will be staying at home for the first year.I am however concerned about what kind of papers I would/could recieve stating what i have learnt and my profiency as I would like to use that on my CV when applying for a job.
I would like to become fluent in speaking madarin.

i am looking to study conversation and grammar on a beginner level for future travelling in china. I have done a lot of travelling and adapt to new languages well.
I feel i would need to study at least 3 times a week, for 1-2 hrs at a time.
