Description |
Proficiency level: Beginner-ish. I know basic words and phrases. I'm very good at pronunciation . I've taught myself Hiragana (but still working on it) and eventually Katakana.
Why I want to learn: I've been interested in Japanese things for about... four or five years now, and it all started out with anime. Right now I want to learn more than anything probably because of my newfound love for JRock; it would be oh so lovely to understand what the heck they're singing about. I'm also planning on having my career in Japan so it would be nice/great/lo vely/perfect to know the language.
Areas that need particular improvement: Sentence structure, conversation, fluency, writing (if possible), etc.
Time willing to be dedicated: Since I'm a highschool student I'd like for the sessions to begin anywhere after 3:30PM on the weekdays. And weekends, it doesn't really matter. Whichever time is fine with my sensei.
Qu alities in my sensei: It's all good with me. As long as they're patient and friendly, which are the aspects all teachers pretty much have, then I'm all for it.

Description |
I'm a beginner at Japanese, mean ing that I only know three to four words. Because of this,I am trying to find someone kind and patient, who won't get mad at the first small error I make. I am set on learning Japanese because I think it would be better if I know about four languages when I get to collage, and it would also give me a bigger range of jobs. (At this moment,I know English and Portugese...)

Description |
I am a beginner in both Mandarin and Japanese. Even though that I know how to right traditional Chinese, I have a hard time listening and speaking Mandarin. As for Japanese, I had no classes before on this language. I want to learn foreign languages because I want it to help me in my future career as well as vacations. I need to improve mostly on conversations in Mandarin and need to learn as much as possible in Japanese. I am willing to dedicate at least 20 hours a week to learn each language, including 5-10 hours of tutoring sessions. I am looking for teachers who speak are native speakers to each language. That means I will need a teacher for Mandarin and a teacher for Japanese. Teaching experiences preferred.

If I were to give my current knowledge of Japanese, I would say I am in the border line of beginner, and intermediate. I am better then beginner, but not to far in intermediate. My Kanji knowledge is basic, but I would like to learn more.I know Hiragana and Katakana. However, Katakana is somewhat hard for me, since I learn hiragana first. I am mostly working on grammer, verbs vocabulary, and speaking as it is right now, But I would most defiantly like to improve in all areas. Speaking, Kanji, grammer, verbs, ect.
I am learning Japanese so that I can go to Japan and teach English. Languages are my passion, and Japanese is the main language I have wanted to learn since I was little. It is a plan my cousin and I have formed that when we are done high school, we will take our ESL and such needed to go to Japan, but I thought that getting tutored will be not only a wise thing to do, but fun. I really enjoy this language and the culture.
I would love to dedicate all my time to learning this language, but I am still in high school. So anytime after school/ school activities, or the weekends is perfect.
T he qualities I am looking for in a teacher consist as follows: I would love someone with humor and experience in what my career goal is. Someone who will make things, of corse, fun. Someone who will be patient with me, because with kanji, I have a hard time remembering them. But am getting better. So manly anyone with a sense of humor, and is friendly. (of corse, I suppose being a teacher as it is means that you have those qualities heh heh~)Plus someone who is knowledgeable about Japan its self. Also a teacher who approaches teaching in many different ways. I am good for anything! and am willing to learn! I am flexible.
