I am a beginner in speaking Vietnamese. I don't really speak much at all. I was wanting to learn to speak it so I can commnicate with the people in this country better. I've really enjoyed my stay here in Vietnam, and I think by being able to speak Vietnamese I would like it even more. I want to be able to carry on good converstion with proper grammer. I'm not sure how long it will take to be able to do this, but I'm willing to decate a much time a needed.

I will move to HCMC at the end of January 2005. I already speak fluent English, French, and Mandarin Chinese, and I learn languages relatively quickly. I will devote near-full-tim e to learning Vietnamese for the first few months after my arrival in Vietnam. I am looking for an intensive tutor during that time. My schedule will be very flexible. We could even start online before I arrive in Vietnam. I have started learning from books, but I am essentially a beginner. I am a 30 year old American man. I have lived in the U.S., France, and China, and I hope my Vietnamese language skills will enable me to experience life in Vietnam more fully.
