Dear Prospective Tutor,
I am looking for a Japanese tutor for my son; he needs emergency help this weekend with a class assignment that is way over his head. If that goes well, he could also use help studying for a chapter test. He is a junior in high school in his second year of Japanese. If we can find a good match he could then use occassional weekend help throughout the school year. We live near the traffic circle in Long Beach, just off the 405. Thank you, Karen Cannon

I have been to Japan three times and lived there for a little over a year in total. I also took Japanese in high school and college. I was intermediate level but since I've been back in the States I have lost a lot of the language. I would very much like to become fluent in it. I also still have my college text books to help me study.
I need improvement in all areas of the language. I am very hands on and better at learning with visual aids and speaking versus reading alone. I want to continue learning for possible career choices but also for when I go back to Japan.
I am an expectant mother currently on medical leave so I have plenty of time but can't afford a huge tuition fee.

I am a beginner. My husband is from Uganda and the predominate language there and in Kenya is Swahili so I wanted to learn it so that I can communicate when I visit. I am truly a beginner so I need to learn everything. I am thinking twice a month would be good. I am looking for a nice person who is patient!

-Proficiency level: Complete beginner - I have no knowledge of the japanese langauge other then the few words i have picked up from manga and anime.
-I wish to learn the langauge because it has always interested me. It sounds great. And i have thought about going to japan many times. Who knows, maybe i could live there one day.
-I would currently need improvement in every area scince im basically at zero with how much i know right now.
-Depe nding on how close to myself i can find someone to teach me, i would be willing to put more time into learning.
-In a teacher im really looking for someone who would actually be intersted in teaching someone like myself (a 21 year old with virtually no language other then english under my belt) and who would be willing to stick with me till the end of the learning process. Also being nice is always a plus haha.

1.I would like to start as a beginner and work my way up. I have no formal learning, so I would need to be taught from scratch.
2. I would like to learn the language because I have always been interested in the Japanese language; this will also allow me to speak to some of my Japanese colleagues who can not speak English very well, so they can speaking to me freely and comfortably.

4.As much time as permitted and what the teacher feel will help me to learn the language effectively.
5. I am look for a teacher who will be patience and is welling to work with if I run into difficulty learning a phrase or grammar etc.
