I have just completed my first semester in spanish in a local college in california (my current residence). There i learnt the present tense forms of various verbs (ar, er, ir, stem-changing , irregular etc...) different types of adjectives, ser, estar rules and some vocabulary.
two primary reasons for learning language - part of college requirement starting Jan 2006 is to pass level 3 (have some sample questions to check the level). Also now interested in learning spanish as i like learning new things.
I will be in chennai for about 2-3 months in oct-dec 2005 - i can spend as much time as is possible to learn spanish since i dont have much else to do.
I am ok with group lessons. The instructor preferably should have lived in spanish-speak ing country or very well versed with the language - reasonable experience (say 5 yrs) would be good.

I started studying Spanish three years ago as my job necessitated the knowledge of a third language. Unfortunately , I never had the opportunity to use Spanish since then, and will thus need to start at beginner level again. I want to concentrate on conversationa l Spanish, but will also need to focus on grammar and reading. I prefer having personal lessons to ensure that I use the correct pronunciation etc. I would be willing to attend weekly lessons and will focus on personal time for practice and preparation in between. I am a full time employee and will therefore only be able to attend lessons after hours.

I am a graduate student who will be living in Argentina for approximately five months--Augus t, 2005 through December, 2005. I will be living in Buenos Aires to study Spanish. I am a beginner, and so I intend this as an immersion.
I would like to hire a private tutor who is experienced in teaching grammar, conversation, etc. Preferably, the tutor would have considerable private tutoring experience, as well as some formal background in education. I highly prefer a native speaker as well.
My schedule will be flexible, and I intend to dedicate three to five hours per day to tutoring.

I would say that I am a beginner. I took spanish I and II in high school but I want to be able to speak it fluently like it was my first language. I want to learn spanish for career advancement and for fun because I have some spanish friends and sometimes I dont know what they are saying. I need improvement in all areas but pronunciation and conversation the most. I am very dedicated to learn this language. When this class is over I really want to be able to understand, speak, and write spanish.
