I am involved in the apparel retailing business. I would like to learn to speak Spanish pretty well to better communicate with my vendors. I would like to learn to at least understand and speak a little Cantonese or Mandarin to better communicate with my vendors. I think that all 3 languages would benefit me in my career. I took French in high school & college and picked it up pretty easily and I think that a transition to Spanish would not be terribly difficult. I DO think that learning either Cantonese or Mandarin will be VERY DIFFICULT but I am not looking for fluency just conversationa l.

I have no experience in the language, a blank canvas of sorts. I am a graduate in mechanical engineering now working on my masters in business. I want to learn so that I can eventually live in China. I am able to donate up to 5 hours per week on lessons, but want an in depth and intense course. I get bored if it moves to slowly, I'll work hard. Thus I want a teacher who has experience working with adults and can match my intensity for learning.
