I am looking for one-to-one course in russian for general purposes as I am travelling there (to live and work) in January for 3 years.
I will be based in Moscow.
I understand the basics, i.e. the very basics- some greetings, some verbs, some vocab, i can read and comprehend the alphabet etc, but overall i would say my knowledge is quite elementary.
I have been using various books, have attended a few (approx 4) formal classes and have been self-studying using the Pimsleur Russian (audio) course. I am at lesson 13. I have, as a main textbook, 'Through Russia With Love'. I have another but cant remember the name...
I would like to improve my conversationa l ability and vocabularly first and foremost.
I would like to arrange approx 10 hours of language lesson first and foremost in whatever fashion is most suitable to the teacher's style and recommendatio n.
I would favour a teacher who is good humoured, and lessons that are challenging in their scope, if not too much in their immediate demands! I will do my best to keep up no matter what.
Home work will be gratefully received. I would like to look at arranging classes as soon as is convenient.
I am based in south dublin and dublin city centre. However, it may be difficult, though perhaps not impossible, for me to provide a venue.

i am now leaving in chalong (phuket-thail and).
i will be here until november 27 and i would like to take some classes of russian before my departure.
i am a total beginner in russian.
