I am an intermediate level student.
I have been studying Japanese for the last 2-3 years and have lived in Japan for 2 years. My level is interesting because I have advanced ability in some topical areas, but am missing substantial chunks of information in others. I am in need of listening skills and in need of natural expressions used by Japanese speakers (I do lots of direct translation.) In addition, I would love an overview of all Japanese grammar and especially when to use each tense.
I am learning Japanese because my boyfriend speaks Japanese and I would like to speak to his family. In addition, I would like to know enough to live in Japan comfortably and work a job at the university level (I am an ESL teacher and curriculum designer.)
I am willing to study privately, in person once a week and with a group or online twice a week. I would like intensive lessons now to jump start me for future independent study. I could do 1-2 hours for a private lesson and 1 hour for the other two classes.
I am looking for a teacher that is flexible and that would be able to help me come up with a plan of study. I have struggled with what to study and how for quite some time. It's especially frustrating for a curriculum development specialist. I would also like a teacher who makes me feel comfortable and not stressed out.

We are looking for an experienced, part-time Japanese language Tutor for our college aged student in his Chicago, Illinois (Norridge area) home.
He is studying Japanese with the goal of becoming fluent in the language, with the possibility of moving permanently to Japan in two years. He would like lessons to be 1 hour, once a week for the first month, then possibly 1-1/2 hour lessons, once a week after that.
We would need you to start as soon as possible. We could pay you $28 per hour. We need an experience tutor with their own materials, with a Bachelor's degree in Japanese or any other subject, and prefer a native Japanese speaker, and fluent in English as well.
