I would love to learn Cantonese, and perhaps extend to Mandarin later. I am a Malay and I would love to learn Cantonese as they are so many people speaking that language here. And would love to watch HK movies without having to read the subtitles. I think I know about 5 words in Cantonese or so.
My native language is Malay. And I can say that I am an absolute beginner in Cantonese. I don't know what to expect when learning this language. So I hope I can get a good teacher that will take my from nothing to fluency. Formal syllabus is not important to me. My aim is to be able to converse fluently.
I am prepared to spend 3-5 hours a week learning this language. I am really serious about being able to talk and understand Cantonese.

im very into cantonese language..ive been staying here in malaysia more that one year and a half..n i need to study cantonese,spe aking, read and writing as well
n in serious with it, i can arrange to get like 2 hours or more per day to study the language.
