I want to learn how to converse in French and eventually to be able to write and construct sentences. This is for my career advancement. I need basic lessons. I am a fast-learner. A couple of hours a week should be good. I need to be able to converse and read before the year 2004 ends. I need someone who is sharp and strict but who is also flexible and patient.

I have no proficiency at all in the Chinese (Mandarin) language. I would like to learn the language for career advancement. I am willing to take lessons after office hours on weekdays or anytime on weekends. In terms of qualities I am looking for in a teacher, he or she should be someone who knows how to assess the learning capability and style of the student and adapt to it accordingly. She should also be patient and structured in terms of delivering his/her lessons.
