I was first introduced to the Dari dialect of Farsi during my time in Afghanistan and was tutored by a native Pashto speaker. My level in the language is extreme beginner, but after struggling with Arabic for the past 5 years and visiting with an Afghan friend recently, I realize that I have had a much greater retention of the Farsi that I learned. I would like to start again in learning the language in the hope that it will aid me with future employment as well as being a starting platform to resume study in Arabic. I am willing to spend as much time on learning as possible, with the only limitations being financial.

Hello. My name is jacqueline. I have recently gotten married and my husband is turkish. Although, he is fluent in english, i have trouble communicating with his family. We are planning to go to istanbul in the future to meet his grandparents and I would love to be able to have a conversation with them. I am currently working in the city and I am very busy so i am looking to take lessons once a week and also online or by email. I would like my teacher to be someone that is family oriented since most of my conversations in turkish will be with his family. Also, if they are from the region of or around istanbul as well.
