Want to learn because I am Chinese and I feel that I must be able to speak it for my own cultural reasons. I can speak Cantonese so it is natural that I should speak Mandarin too. Other reasons are career advancements for both China and Hong Kong. May want to go back to Hong Kong and possibly work in China.
