My Daughter is a senior in High School. Over the summer she has been taking first year french by a correspondenc e class from BYU. She has not completed this course, so this school year she is trying to finish first year and is enrolled in 2 year french.
I consider her a beginner. She gets very good grades and is very motivated.

I am a beginning student with 1 year of French classes. However, during that year I spent 3 months in Paris. I also have a background in Latin.
I am learning French because I want to begin learning languages beside my native English. I particularly want to focus on conversationa l skills at this point- I am extremely uncomfortable with spoken French right now.
I am looking to spend an hour or two a week on lessons, and am looking for a teacher that will be meticulous with pronunciation .
