I would really like to learn Polish. My boyfriend is from Poland and we went there last summer for 5 weeks. It was an amazing experience. I love the language and their culture. I would have to say I am a beginner. I learned a little while I was there, but my boyfriend translated for me most of the time. My boyfriend has attempted to teach me, but he can't explain why you say one thing and not another. I want to learn grammar and conversation, but not writing. I will dedicate as much time as I need to learn the language. It is very important to me. I have taken two languages already so I have an idea of what kind of teacher I would like. I like a teacher that can explain why, like why you say this to an older person, and this to a younger person. Also, a teacher who gives you ways to remember things to make it a little easier.

*I have one semester of beginning French language study at the university level, but that was many years ago. I am fluent in Spanish, so I am comfortable with the Romance languages.
*I would like to further my French language abilities because I am planning a work trip to Cameroon, Africa in January of 2006.
*I would most like to deepen my conversation skills with an emphasis on developing an authentic sounding accent.
*I would like two hours per week of private lessons.
* I would like to study with someone who would be willing to practice speaking with me in the context of restaurants, museums, theatre, and travel and intepersonal relationship customs that are particular the the Francophone world.

Hello, my name is danielle. I am looking to improve my lanugage proficiency in German and French. Here is my background for each language:
French
I lived in France for almost two years and went to school and worked au Credit Lyonnais a Paris. I have been back in the States for a year and a half and am quickly losing my French skills. I would like to have some with whom I can practice my French conversation, touch up on written grammar, increase my vocabulary, and improve my accent. I would like to commit a few hours each week to 're-learning' French.

I have always had a longing to learn German and took one semester in college my senior year. I understand basic grammar, but have a limited vocabulary. To begin, I probably need help with grammar and learning vocabulary with basic conversations to follow. I am willing to spend as much time as possible learning German. I would like to someday do an intensive German course for 3-4 weeks in Germany.
I would someday like to use either / both French and German for work and so hope to beomce proficient in each for the business world.
Reg arding qualities I look for in a teacher, I prefer someone who is a native speaker to help with the accent and give insights into the lifestyle and culture. This is my only preference.

I would like a tutor who can teach my two daughters along with myself. My children are 7 & 9 yrs. old. We have family members who can speak French. We would like to be able to converse with them in French, and be able to pronounce the written word. We hope to travel to France in 2007. We have have no formal learning at this point. We are beginners. I am looking for about 1 hour per week or every other week, in person, along with some type of lessons I can work with the girls away from the tutor. I am also looking for recommendatio ns, from the tutor, of ways to increase our proficiency such as recommended readings, DVD's, music, etc. Thank you for your consideration . (Lakeland Minnesota is on the St. Croix river, just across from Hudson, Wisconsin)

I have had seven years of French in High School, however memory has faded badly. I have spend the last three months in Paris, but I did not really get into the language at all. Now there is a job opportunity for which i require to speak French well. So, I thought to seek a person-to-per son education here in Phoenix. I need the teacher to straighten out my French salad, converse with me and teach me grammar for assay writing. I will try to dedicate two to three weekly sessions, if this is possible I still will have to see.
