I wish to start learning Chinese languages and wish to start with Mandarin. The reason for my interest is that India and China are two big economies and I expect closer business ties between these countries and hence I wish to be ready when the right time comes.
I wish to thus become proficient in conversing, reading and writing in Chinese - Mandarin as a start and then move on to Cantonese and other Chinese languages.
I think I can dedicate 1 hour daily for this exercise.
I hope to find a teacher whose native language is Chinese Madarin and has some university degree to support this.

My name is Till Gerards.
I'm a German student of cultural studies and have started to learn chinese this March. To improve my language skills I would like to make a language course in Kunming in the period of February till mid-March 2005, so 4-6 weeks. I would like to make about 30 hours each week in a group of about 4-8 students. Particulary important for me is to improve my speaking capacity, so I would like to do a lot of conversation in the course.
The teacher should have experience with foreign students and possess some teaching certificates which shows him to be an established teacher.
