More than a beginner but still don't understand some beginner concepts. Teaching self by books, internet and audio program but teaching yourself often teaches bad habits which I may have done :-) I am learning mandarin because it fascinates me and I am looking for probably an hour a week to supplement my personal study. I don't mind what sort of teacher I have as long as they are friendly.

I am an adult that just accepted a job which requires frequent travel to China. I am of course a beginner at the languge, but do want to become somewhat fluent in the language. I recently returned from a four week visit in China during which I used a translator for the entire time. My translator was great, but somtimes i felt my ideas and concerns were not relayed the way I wanted.
I am seeking a instructor that has a proven method for teaching Chinese to adults. I want to learn quickly and do not mind putting the required hours into learning.
