I am interested in learning Chinese (Mandarin). Unfortunately , I have no proficiency at all in this language. My goal is to be fluent in all aspects of Mandarin - hopefully, in a year's time, I can converse effectively and properly. I want to learn Chinese because 1.) I believe its going to be an important language in the global arena, 2.) I think it's going to be a major advantage in my career since I'm interested in international relations, and 3.) it seems an interesting and challenging language to master.
Th at said, I am a focused and committed student. I would be happy to adjust my studying hours with what's convenient and efficient for both my teacher and myself. I am looking for someone who is a lively, patient and competent teacher who can customize the learning process according to my needs and goals. Thanks!

I am currently studying medicine and would like to engage in researches in traditional eastern/asian medicine including that of China. I have no previous knowledge of mandarin so I would like an instructor who will be patient with me. I am a fast learner though. I would be available on weekdays @ 7pm.
