I'm a virtual beginner but I go to Lithuania frequently. I'm a specialist in the work of M K Ciurlionis. My main reason for learning the language is to be able to read original source material, but I need basic conversationa l Lithuanian as well as I have many firends there. I've tried to teach myself but it doesn't work too well! I have good French and reasonable Russian. Ideally I'd like a lesson perhaps twice a month. I work for Opera North, teach a bit at Leeds university, research a PhD, conduct and teach the cello, so my time is limited. I need a teacher who is methodical and patient! I'm happy to travel a bit; if you come to me I'll pay your travel costs as well.

I am a beginner and I wish to learn Lithuanian as my wife is from Lithuania and I want to be able to speak with my in-laws and friends in Lithuania. I would like to concentrate on conversation. I don't know anything about the language. My great-grandpa rents moved to the United States in 1906. No one knows if we have any family left over there. I was wanting to learn the language so I can travel over there to see if I can find any family members. I will dedicate as much time as needed to be able to speak the language fluently.
