I am interested in learning chinese language. Primary reason is, I want to spend couple of years in China. I am a beginner. I speak fluent English, Hindi and Malayalam. The time availability, it depends on the program offered and duration.
I should be able to read and talk chinese language. Teacher need to be patient to cope with a beginner who's 35 yrs old. Teacher must be sincere and I expect the teacher to know the historical facts and cultural ethics of china.

Hi. I am a man, 38 years old and I live in Little-Italy, Montreal. I want to learn simplified Mandarin, I am french speaking but the lessons could also be in english. My level is 'beginner', a real beginner. I intend to travel to China within months and I wish to be able to exchange with the locals. My priority is learning to speak and read some basic Mandarin before my trip, but eventually, I also wish to have a more complete approach by improving my basic knowledge. One or 2 hours a week in private lessons would be fine but for the moment, I can only attend course on friday(3pm to 10pm) and on sunday(all day). I wish to find a teacher close to where I live, able to adapt to my schedule and the fees should be reasonable. Someone with a cultural knowledge of today's China is essentials. The teacher should provide a private place for the lessons.

I'm an Austrian student, at the moment working in Montréal (till August). At my university I'm studying Mandarin which I also have to improve now to pass the exam in September. I have to improve conversation and grammar, as well as character writing. I'm using the teaching book 'Chinese for foreigners', but as pronounciatio n is quite important, I would like to take some lessons (once or twice a week) which should not cost too much.
