I am a beginner and do not have any knowledge. I would like to study this language with my 17 yr. old daughter. The reason for learning another language is for my own personal benefit as well as an interest in other people and culrure. I am only able to spend 2-3 hrs. per week with someone learning, but of course more on my own studying.

Hello:
I am very interested in beginning to study Sanskrit.
I am a Psychologist and already speak multiple languages (Spanish, Italian, Mandarin). I study yoga (Ashtanga) and am interested in deepening my practice including learning more about the underlying language,hist ory,and philosophy.
I would like to study with somebody a couple of times each week (I am willing to do additional work on my own). I am seeking an engaging teacher who can provide a solid foundation.

I have been studying Hindi on my own for about seven years. I can read and write Devanagari and have a fair knowledge of grammar, but I am very reticent to speak and practice what I have learned. My comprehension is also slow.
I spend about half of the year in North India and would like to develop speaking/list ening proficiency as soon as possible. I am looking for a teacher that has experience working with students who are shy or get stuck when asked to speak, someone who will be proactive and creative in helping me get through that block rather than fill the space or time with writing or talking themselves.
I am looking for someone who has a creative approach and who is willing to challenge his/her students to progress. If I find the right teacher I am willing to dedicate the time that is necessary to substantially improve my skills in the next three months.
