I am a man in my sixties from Canada who will be visiting Casablanca during April/May 2006 for four weeks. I do have some understanding of Arabic alphabets and I know those arabic words which are common to Urdu,which is my first language. I will be spending few months every year in Casablanca and would like to be able to speak and write in the language. I do speak French as well,therefor e, I can communicate with teachers in either English or French. I would like to spend as much as four hours a day for four weeks to learn Arabic. I would like to be in touch with an experienced language teacher of either sex who is available during the period of my visit and whose fee is reasonable.

My personal goal is to be proficient in Arabic before my 35th birthday. I am 33 years old right now. That has long been a goal of mine and this is the right time to make that move. I recently decided to take several months off to pursue Arabic classes in Morocco. This is very important to my personal development.
I want to commit to at least two instructional hours per day.
The son of a Somali-born father and New York City-native mother, I grew in a very open Islamic household in Oakland, California. In addition to attending American schools, I also attended Islamic school on weekends and summer camp for years so I have some familiarity with Qur’anic Arabic.
To date, I was quite happy and content with my career choices and education until I realized that the world was passing me by and I would love to catch up with it all.
