I am a beginning spanish student. I will travel to Lima and Cusco in September or October of 2008. I want to stay with a local family and attend classes part of the days for 3-4 hours or informally with someone fluent in both english and spanish languages. I could stay for 4 to 6 weeks depending on costs. My goal is to be able to speak well enough to travel and ask for what I need and to be able to have friendly conversations with local people. I know a good amount of Spanish and very little French. I pick up languages very quickly. I would like to learn Portuguese as my mother in law, my boyfriend and his entire family speak it fluently.
