I would like to learn Danish as I plan on moving to Denmark next year. It would be good to learn so that I can get a job. I have never learnt any Danish before. If possible I would like to have lessons on Saturday as i work full time. I don't have a car either so would need to be easily accessible for me, I live in the valley in Brisbane.

I can only refer to myself as a beginner, for I have never had a real second language teacher before.
I mostly study out of text books but I have also listened to learning cd's and sometimes use the internet or language programs.
I wish to learn Japanese because I very much love Japanese cultures
and although I know I still have much more to learn, I already love this language.
My Goal in learning Japanese is that I would like to become a translator, both of literature and language, for example; books and subtitles.
Though I have Already started learning Japanese on my own, I do still need much help and would be greatly appreciative of whoever is willing to teach me. I have trouble with understanding kanji and particles are difficult to remember, so forming sentences is hard to grasp.
Conversatio nal Japanese is also difficult because there is no one for me to study with.
I do not have a job and therefore have plenty of free time. However, that also means I do not earn much money, but learning is my passion and it would mean the world for someone to give me a chance.
It is only fair to admit I have a learning disability.
I have been described as a slow learner because despite the fact that I pick things up very easily, I can also forget things just as easily. So it can take a long time to fully understand and grasp what I'm trying to learn.
For example; if you teach me a new word, I would be able to repeat it back to you and use it correctly very quickly, but the very next day I could have forgotten the word entirely. This makes learning quite difficult.
Thus the qualities I look for in lessons are things that help a person to remember more efficiently in interesting ways.
As for the qualities in a teacher, I think the kind of person that has a lot of patience would be best, as well as the kind of friendly hands on approach to teaching. Someone that will help you with every step and will not worry if the steps need to be repeated.
PROFILE UPDATED 28th September 2012: I have decided to remove Korean and Chinese from my learning goals as I thought it best to only focus on one language due to my learning difficulties. Being that Japanese is the language I love and already have some experience with, it is the logical choice to pursue.

I want to learn Turkish because I previously lived there as a child and new the language and have now forgotten, however the language is still used very much in my family therefore i would like to learn enough to communicate with my family and friends. I only now some words and understand very little, i would most defiantly be considered a beginner. I never attend Turkish school therefore i know very little in regards to grammar, and my level of conversing is very basic. I am willing to dedicate 2 days a week on the private lessons. I am looking for a female teacher that can really concentrate on my conversing skills rather than my grammar. I would also prefer minimal writing tasks or homework due to other educational commitments that will be proceeding at the same time.
