I am looking for a French tutor for my daughter. She has just begun to home school. When she left her public school she was taking French II so she is not a beginner. I would like the lessons to be at my home once a week for an hour or so. I live in the Antelope area of Sacramento. I also will need to know the cost for the lessons and if she needs to buy a book. The Visions home school program will be paying for the service. But I dont have alot left in her Visions account after ordering all the materials she needed for schoolwork. So cost is important.

I am a beginner and will have to learn from scratch.
I want to learn the language because of my desire to study the diverseness in culture and languages across the world.And particularly French because it is very much required for my career advancement.
I need improvement in all areas of the language as i am just a beginner to it.I will able to devote 2-3 hrs a day.
The teacher I am looking for should be able to teach the basics really well.If the foundationis strong then it becomes easier to build on to your vocabulary.An d also the teacher should have experience of handling students of beginner level ( those who have no experience of the language ).

My husband and I are both university lecturers with busy schedules and are keen to learn French. We are both absolute beginners, but are keen to become competent in everyday conversationa l French for holidays. We would also like to go on to be able to read and write well enough to cope with everyday life in France as we would like move there eventually.
We would like to have a weekly joint lesson, preferably in the evening, with plenty of guidance for how we can practice between lessons as well.
We are looking for a teacher who would be able to be responsive to our level of learning primarily and a good knowledge of living in France would be a bonus.
