I am interested in learning Urdu/Hindi as it is spoken by my husband. It would be ideal to learn from him but because of his very long work hours it is not possible. My interest is in understanding /speaking simple conversationa l items. I have traveled twice to India,enjoy watching Hindi movies and appreciate Indian culture.
The time that I would like to spend per week studying is 3 hours or more--It would be a challenge for me as I need to hear, see the written word etc to learn. Im not quite sure the amount of time.
Qualities that I would look for in a teacher is someone that is patient, supportive (im a little shy). Want to learn basics and build on this.

I have taken Spanish in High School and college 10-15 yrs ago. I do remember some, therefore, would classify myself as a beginner all over again.
I want to learn Spanish as a second language for many reasons.
I need improvement in grammar, conversation, etc. etc.
