I have never studied Turkish before, although I have studied several other foreign languages through the advanced level. I have long wanted to study Turkish, but have not had an opportunity to do so thus far. I am leaving on 1 July for a week of vacation in Istanbul and I would like to study Turkish for about two hours a day until then in order to learn some basic language skills. I am a very dedicated language learner. I also have language CD's to supplement your lessons.

My son is almost 17 and spent 5 weeks in Turkey this past summer. He is a beginner and would like to learn the language. He is looking for a tutor, once a week, and he will have some time to do work during the week. He is looking for instruction in oral and written Turkish.

I am interested in taking Turkish lessons from a native speaker in hopes of moving to Turkey next year. I have no previous experience speaking Turkish. I would like to take either private, or a small group lesson once a week. Due to other commitments, I will not be able to dedicate a lot of time to homework. I understand that this is not ideal, but it's the best I can do at the moment. I am open to different teaching methods, but I would like to start with basics and move on from there. I do plan on joining a language school once I get to Turkey.
