I would like to learn Croatian for various reasons. After visiting friends in Zagreb, I would like to return to the country and be able to gain a certain level of fluency, but think it would be necessary to have a starting point ahead of time. Also, I plan on attaining my PhD in linguistics and think that the knowledge of a non-latin language would be helpful in this endeavor.

My goal is to speak more freely with my signficant other's family and gain language skills that I can use within an employment setting.
