I'm a 25 year old who has a desire to learn the Finnish language. I got into the language because a certain band has their lyrics in Finnish, and after hearing some basic words and pronunciation from youtube.com I decided I want to learn it (other than just reading lyrics).
Because I've looked over some youtube lessons, I have an ok idea on how to start up a conversation. I was looking at how sentances are put together in longer conversations and I noticed I couldn't really get the hang of how they got certain words. I can dedicate about 30 minutes a day on learning the language but it's usually at different times during the day.
Qualities...n ot over by the phone, but videos have seemed to work pretty well for me so far. I prefer to hear a conversation or word at the speed that a native would usually speak in Finland and then hear it broken down in a slow manner.

I have been teaching myself Finnish for quite some time, however, I have come to the conclusion that I need a proper class to be able to master the language. During my multiple trips to Finland, I have been told that my Finnish is suprisingly very good ''for a jenkki.''
I am capable of continuing a coversation speaking only Finnish, but only if the other person is speaking English. Understanding the language is my biggest weak point, mostly due to the multiple ways of putting together a single statment. Speaking and writing Finnish are my stronger areas, However, I would like to begin the course as a begginer.
I am located in Ocala, but I am willing to travel within a reasonable distance to attend a Finnish language class. I am highly motivated and will most likely be able to start right away. I am willing to work in a class room environment with others, or a private tutor.

I am looking to learn finish. I will be moving to Turku Finland in mid-December, and will be living there for a while. I would like to learn finish to be able to work and more easily adapt. I am interested in taking lessons online through video conferencing while I am still in United States. But I would like to learn in person whether it is one-on-one or in a small group once I arrive in Finland. I especially need help with some articulation and pronunciation . So far I have a very basic vocabulary.
