Hello,
My name is Joe Arb. I am a 26 year old who is looking for career advancement as well as cultural exposure for personal self fulfillment. My interest has turned to the growing country of China. I am intrigued by the culture as well as their rapidly expanding economy.
C urrently, I am in the field of wind energy development. As China's energy demands skyrocket, I see opportunity for a person such as myself to take part in ensuring that their growth is done in an environmental ly responsible way. Not to mention, I simply want to travel and see the world, without being a nuisance to my hosts.
I would very much be a beginner. I would be interested in courses that were in class and/or over the internet. In general, I think I just need some sort of structure to keep my learning moving forward. Hence, I am contacting you rather than buying a 'do-it-yourse lf' book.

I am learning Chinese (Mandarin) for career advancement, to live and work in China.
I need improvement in all areas of the language (grammar, conversation, etc). I have no prior learning experience with this language.
I will dedicate 4 hours every day to language lessons.
