I have no prior experience with the German language but am very motivated to learn it at the basic level at the quickest pace possible. I plan to enroll in a German 1 course this fall at a university and would require two private lessons a week to supplement it. My hope is that not only would you help reinforce my learnings from the university class but that you could provide additional lessons along the way to move me past a German 1 level and more into at least a German 2 level by the end of the semester. My schedule would require evening lessons during the week.
The goal is to learn enough basic grammar, conversation, and writing skills during the fall semester to comfortably immerse myself into the Viennese culture come January 2008 where I could further improve my proficiency through an additional language camp and everyday interaction.
The big goal is to speak well enough to qualify for a professional job within Austria before April 2008.
I would like to hear your opinion on how realistic my goals are as well as any strategies you may have to add to mine to help me achieve these goals.

I am a beginning student and desire private lessons. I would like to learn Spanish to speak to my in-laws. I really would like to focus on conversation more than reading and writing. I am able to meet at least once a week but am willing to study in-between meetings. I am looking for a native Spanish speaker preferably from Mexico. Previous teaching experience is also preferred. Ideally I would like the instructor to come to me - I live in downtown Dallas - but am willing to meet at a mutual location.

I am probably an advanced beginner. I have traveled to Brazil on several ocassions but found communication difficult. I took the beginner level pimsleur course.Time is no issue. I would like a teacher who is qualified to teach the Brazilian portuguese language. I have many friends in Sao Paulo who i would like to speak to seamlessly.
